I went as Tom Cruise from Top Gun... just go with it; I thought it was a good idea when I came up with it.

Ben... I feel that Ben's outfit speaks for itself. Though, I was impressed that he stayed in that ski suit all night (we don't have air conditioning in John Fisher... especially not in the Buttery)

Casey is the treasurer at John Fisher. He probably had the worst 80's outfit ever! I almost gagged when I saw him (the back of the coat had a big florescent Mickey Mouse beach towel sewn on it). It was perfect.

Poor Dan, I think he must have forgotten to dress up. But he still looked good with his outrageous sideburns.

And as for Emma... there are no words to be said for her 80's-ness.
On Saturday I went to Port Arther. It is the sight of the oldest penitentiary in Tasmania. Not only that, but it is the most beautiful place in the world- yes, even more beautiful than Hobart

The little island there is Dead Island, it is where they buried the convicts after the bodies started piling up. It is said to be quite haunted and spooky.
I joined the softball team, and I have started playing rugby for John Fisher. We will be getting our jerseys in soon, and I have yet to invest in a mouth guard and cleats. I am pretty excited to bust up a few Jane Fisher (another college) girls. I think this will be a pretty exciting sport!
I am planning on going rock climbing this weekend, so hopefully there will be some good pictures there!
Thanks for keeping up with me!

You have some very beautiful new pictures up! What a great place to study abroad! Tom Cruise would be proud to have such a hard core pilot such as yourself dress up like him. Texas was great. They're all right...everything is bigger! Let's just put it this way...at the church we went to on sunday, there was a starbucks inside. Sick. I know.
I love you!

Love the scenery. Your pictures are certainly tantalizing previews for the adventures we'll have in June. I can't wait. How do you have enough hours in a day to have all the fun you do?!! You are doing your Aussie stay the right way. I was reading that if possible, you should stay in one area and really explore it as the whole of the country would be overwhelming. Kind of like trying to do the whole US in a semester.
Love you lots, yer mum
Splendiferous! I think your trip with Slim looked awesome! B-E-A-utiful! Dead Island looks quite scary...it'd be fun to camp there or something over night...but then you might die and I would be sad. Well, love you mucho Botty!! Glad to see you back on your Bliz-idy-iz-og!

Where do you keep finding all of these gorgeous men?? Snag a few and bring them back to the UofI. It looks like Iowa's Steve Alford is going to New Mexico. I new I'd be the only one to e-you that! Spring break is great-I'm making the kids clean closets! Sound familiar? Have fun for me, too! Love, J.F., B.F.,A.F.,B.F., M.J.F.
You bum...pictures look great and it sounds like everything is going very well for you. Don't forget us humble orchestra folks back in IA. When do you get back?
